Psychological Services & Testimony
Specialized Forensic Unit PC is a private nongovernmental organization, providing psychological evaluations and treatment in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Florida. We provide thorough, timely, research-based evaluations and evidence-based treatment, specifically tailored to answer referral questions that courts, attorneys, correctional facilities, or patients may have or may pose. Psychological assessment services are conducted in a professional and sensitive manner. The main goal of our agency is to provide the most meaningful treatment and objective and unbiased assessment, which outline examinee’s or patient’s current treatment needs and strengths.
We strive to provide the most representative services, using the most current research advances in the field.
We provide services to adults, juveniles, and children. These services include psychological treatment and examinations for forensic and clinical purposes.

DR. TETYANA KOSTYSHYNA
Clinical Psychologist – PsyD, LCPC, LSOE, LSOTP
Dr. Tetyana Kostyshyna is a licensed psychologist in IL, FL, and WI. She is also licensed in IL as a clinical counselor, sex offender evaluator, and sex offender treatment provider. Her degrees include doctorate in clinical psychology, master’s in clinical psychology, master’s in psychology and English literature, and bachelor’s in psychology. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. Dr. Kostyshyna conducts forensic and clinical psychological evaluations, including phallometric evaluations (PPG). She has testified as a court expert witness in cases pertaining to legal guardianship, protective services or protective placement, competency to stand trial evaluations, involuntarily detention due to mental illness and dangerousness, immigration, sexually violent persons act (SVP) civil commitments for probable cause hearings and trials, and sexually dangerous persons act (SDP) civil commitments trials. Dr. Kostyshyna has been certified as an expert witness in mental health in Illinois, Wisconsin, and federal courts. She supervises all pre-license clinicians of the clinic.

Ms. Adriana Jones
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
Ms. Adriana Jones is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Forensic Therapist at Specialized Forensic Unit PC. She received her master’s degree in counseling with a specialization in forensic psychology and her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She provides treatment to juveniles and adults. Along with providing psychosexual treatment to individuals with sexually problematic behavior, Ms. Jones also specializes in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma disorders, and OCD. She utilizes several theoretical approaches with her clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), several trauma-focused treatments, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Ms. Jones understands the challenges of beginning treatment; therefore, she ensures to incorporate compassion, validation, and kindness within each therapeutic relationship.

Ms. Alysia Madonia
Clinical Case Coordinator
Ms. Alysia Madonia is a clinical case coordinator of evaluation cases. Her degree includes associate in paralegal studies. She is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Ms. Madonia ensures all proper consents and release of information forms are received and processed when the examinee or a patient can be seen by a clinician. Ms. Madonia obtains records and coordinates the appointments for our clinic. She is certified in PPG level I.

Ms. Morgan Franden
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC)
Ms. Morgan Franden provides clinical and forensic therapy services to juveniles and adults of various levels of sexual and non-sexual dangerousness. Ms. Franden earned her master’s degree in counseling with a specialization in forensic psychology and bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice. Her additional focus areas include mindfulness, CBT practices, the Good Lives Model, and empowerment in individual and group therapeutic processes. Ms. Franden takes a specific interest in court/DCFS referred cases with psychosexual context. Her focus is on helping clients find a way to navigate the world in a safe and effective way, while also feeling they have a voice in their treatment. Ms. Franden works collaboratively with the client and their supports (i.e. case workers, parole officers) to coordinate effective and personalized treatment and mitigate risk. Ms. Franden is a supervising clinician and trains pre-licensed mental health professionals.

Ms. Krisma Patel
Master’s of Science in Forensic Psychology
Ms. Krisma Patel is a mental health professional at Specialized Forensic Unit PC. She provides clinical therapeutic services to children and juveniles. Her degrees include master’s in forensic psychology, bachelor’s in psychology, and pending master’s in clinical psychology. Ms. Patel’s specialty includes treatment of developmental trauma in multisystemic contexts. She is involved in work with forensic patients who require long-standing support and change. She provides consultation to referring agencies about her patients’ progress, completes treatment plans, and writes reports about progress in treatment.

Ms. Nalalie Lebert
Master’s in Forensic Psychology, Licensed Associate Sex Offender Provider
Ms. Nalalie Lebert completes psychosexual and psychological evaluations of minors and adults. Her degrees include master’s in forensic psychology and bachelor’s in psychology, criminology, law, and society. Ms. Lebert is skilled in interviewing techniques and administration of intelligence psychological measures, malingering measures, objective measures of clinical syndromes and personality disorders, and PPG of all sets. She is certified in PPG level I. Ms. Lebert specializes in clinical writing, diagnostics, and sexual risk prediction. She also completes juvenile psychosexual treatment. Ms. Lebert provides supervision to interns whose professional interest is in psychological evaluations.

Ms. Emma Chrystal
Clinical Case Coordinator
Ms. Emma Chrystal is a clinical case coordinator of therapy cases. Her degrees include bachelor’s in two disciplines: psychology and communications. Ms. Chrystal ensures all proper consents and release of information forms are received and processed when the client can be seen by a clinician. Ms. Chrystal obtains records and coordinates the appointments for our clinic.

Ms. Liliana Navarro
Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Associate Sex Offender Provider
Ms. Navarro is a licensed social worker and associate sex offender provider in IL. Her degree includes master’s in social work. Ms. Navarro is fluent in Spanish. She performs forensic therapy for adults and juveniles with sexually problematic behaviors and paraphilic tendencies. Ms. Navarro also performs psychosexual evaluations at the level of allegations and arrest/charge. She is trained in the following techniques: DBT, CBT, trauma focused therapy, and psychosexual therapy for juveniles and adults. She provides consultation and reports about progress in treatment of her patients to the community interdisciplinary teams and legal agencies.
